Hello Meskelin Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Hi, I broke my 3,5mm audio jack a short time ago by hitting the aux cable accdentally so that it snapped inside. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter 3. You can also try to download the Audio and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.
The sound comes only out from the speakers. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter 5. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds 4.
I have this question too. Lenovo is committed to environmental leadership from operations to product design and recycling solutions.
Message 6 of 6. Update us how it goes. The part i have is this: Message 5 of 6. This will help the rest of the Community with similar issues identify the verified solution and benefit from it. I already checked the connections and for me they seem good. There is usually a hardware switch in the socket, which is engaged when you put the plug in.
Seems like it might be mechanically broken.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on. Message 1 of 6. Lenivo you sure that it is the right part that was ordered for the unit? After the aux cable snapped and styed inside for some weeks, i still used the computer. The sound came from speakers. If i stuck a microphone in, i do get a popup.
Check the connections again, make sure that nothing is loose or left unconnected. If i go to sounds and playback devises, it wont show headphones there.
Is it possible that the broken jack could have caused any harm further than for the chipset? I do NOT get popup for the headphone jack. Turn the unit on as normal. Cant find any other drivers than the realtek drivers from support page. I have tried with many different 3. Also, try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard. Maybe I have to report from it.
